Farhiyah Shariff is an associate at Burstall Winger Zammit LLP and practices primarily in the areas of corporate finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and securities regulatory compliance matters. Ms. Shariff acts for both public and private issuers as well as underwriters in respect of initial public offerings, secondary offerings of debt and equity securities, mergers and acquisitions, asset and share purchase and sale transactions and all dealings with regulators including stock exchanges and securities commission. Her practice also involves advising issuers with respect to general corporate, commercial and securities law matters, including continuous disclosure obligations, and other regulatory compliance issues.
Ms. Shariff received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary 2006. Ms. Shariff received her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Birmingham in 2010. Upon the successful completion of her Canadian Accreditation Examinations in September 2011, Ms. Shariff commenced her articles with Burstall Winger Zammit LLP and joined the firm as an Associate in December 2012.
Ms. Shariff is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Law Society of Alberta and the Calgary Bar Association.
