Ms. De Angelis is an associate practising in the areas of corporate commercial law and banking law with significant experience in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, equity and debt financings, corporate governance, and general commercial matters. Her clients range from local owner-manager entities to international ventures.
Before joining Burstall LLP in 2014, Ms. De Angelis practiced with a national law firm for eleven years. Ms. De Angelis has also acted as General Counsel to an oil sands development company and as Associate General Counsel to the Canadian division of an international grocery chain. These opportunities enabled Ms. De Angelis to appreciate the interface between business management and legal advisors and the need for timely, practical, and clear legal advice.
Ms. De Angelis has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biological Sciences granted by the University of Calgary in 1996 and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) granted by the University of Calgary in 2002. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2003.
Ms. De Angelis is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Association. Ms. De Angelis is fluent in Italian.
